Research into new lighter and more resistant materials and into new development and industrialization processes play an important role in vehicle improvement in terms of quality safety, cost reduction and environmental protection.

In order to provide technological support in these fields to the automotive companies, CTAG focuses on 3 lines of specialisation:

• Development of new plastic materials and their transformation processes to be applied in the car industry.
• Simulation tools and technologies for manufacturing processes and workstations.
• Research on environmental issues such as emissions reduction, use of new adapted materials, Eco-design and life cycle analysis of components and vehicles.
