This laboratory is equipped with following tools:

  • hydraulic inverse acceleration catapult for the simulation of frontal, side and rear collisions, with the following main characteristics:
    • 2,000 kN rated force.
    • Maximum acceleration: 65 g with 1,500 kg load.
    • Maximum deceleration of 50 g (for side impact).
    • Maximum velocity of 81 km/h with a maximum load of 1,500 kg.
  • Complete laboratory for dummy calibration.
  • Automatic HMI technology lighting system.
  • CMOS technology digital video capture system.
  • 20 kHz data acquisition system.
  • KNEE IMPACT TEST DEVICE.
Furthermore the following equipment is available for impact testing.

  • Whiplash test bed.
  • Drop tower.
  • Pendulum for ECE-R21, R25 regulatory testing.
  • Body-block launcher.
  • KNEE IMPACT TEST DEVICE.
  • Ultra high speed Thermography: thermographic video recording can be applied to airbag deployment or to any high velocity phenomenon or industrial process.
